Former Gartner Research Director to Direct Global Product Marketing Efforts for the Data Virtualization Leader

PALO ALTO, CA, June 30, 2016 – Denodo, the leader in data virtualization, today announced that Lakshmi Randall has joined the company as head of product marketing. In this role, Randall will lead Denodo global product marketing efforts and report directly to Ravi Shankar, CMO. Randall brings over 19 years of experience in information management and analytics product marketing, research, and analysis of emerging and disruptive industry trends. She was also instrumental in guiding vendors’ product evolution strategies. 

Data virtualization is a key component in today’s data initiatives, as they require rapid and agile integration capabilities,” said Shankar. “As the leader in data virtualization, Denodo is growing very rapidly. We are thrilled to have Lakshmi on board to carry this momentum forward by playing a key role in shaping and executing our go-to-market strategy. Before joining Denodo, Randall was an independent analyst and strategist in information management and analytics. Prior to that, she was a research director at Gartner, Inc., where she published numerous research notes spanning the areas of data virtualization, data warehousing, data integration, big data, and information management and analytics. Before joining Gartner, she was a big data subject matter expert at Microsoft Corporation, where she drove early adoption of Microsoft Power BI and other technologies. Prior to that, as president and founder of La Jolla Data Corp, Inc., Randall provided advisory and consulting services to companies across various industries, including technology, banking and finance, health, transportation, and insurance.

Randall holds an MS degree in computer science and a BS degree in mathematics and statistics from the University of Madras, India.
