Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) is the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in Indonesia, the largest economy in ASEAN. It is currently the market leader in the Indonesian automotive industry holding more than 30% market share. In 2023, TAM sold more than 335,000 vehicle units through its 38 dealers and 350 outlets in Indonesia. TAM is not only in the business of selling vehicles, but also involved in after-sales services for vehicle owners.
Challenges
TAM had a fragmented data ecosystem with data trapped in different business silos causing data delivery challenges. The company wanted to simplify its complex data management landscape, reduce the time-to-data for its multiple operational reporting requirements, and eliminate the need for shadow IT.
A Seamless Solution
Toyota Astra Motor implemented the Denodo Platform above the company’s enterprise data warehouse and the transactional databases, seamlessly integrating several different source systems to create a logical data warehouse.
