Beijing, March 9, 2021 - Denodo, the leader in data virtualization, today announced significant momentum in its operations in the Greater China Region (GCR), thanks to a growing partner ecosystem. The surge in the partner interest is a result of data virtualization technology becoming a critical component for digital transformation, advanced analytics, and hybrid/multi-cloud solutions in enterprises. Denodo’s GCR sales function is driven by Stan Wu, Regional Vice President of Sales, who brings more than 25 years of experience in various leadership roles across large enterprise software vendors such as Informatica, Oracle and most recently Microsoft.
“Denodo is the absolute leader in data virtualization, and I am thrilled to head up the company’s GCR sales team to help drive its next phase of growth in the APAC region,” said Stan Wu, Regional Vice President of Sales, Greater China. “My focus will be to increase the awareness of Denodo’s brand and product offerings, and to establish our footprint in some of the most important industries, such as manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, and automotive, in the Greater China Region.”
Today, most of the Chinese companies across all sectors use well-known local cloud providers to aggregate their enterprise data and create physical data warehouses. But, as businesses undergo digital transformation and almost every company sees tremendous value in generating real-time data-driven insights to perform predictive analytics or advanced analytics, the legacy physical data warehouses are falling short. Technologies like data virtualization not only help in real-time insight generation but also create an abstraction layer on top of physical data stores by which IT teams can modernize their technology stack by migrating to the cloud without impacting business continuity. The excitement about data virtualization is evident from partnerships that Denodo has forged in the last year with large and regional SI partners such as Eden Information Services Ltd, Retailsys, IISI, UTC and ASL HK, as well as prominent technology partners such as AWS, Azure and GCP.
“Edensoft is honored to join Denodo partner program and becomes the largest partner of Denodo China,” said Junyuan Sun, VP of Edensoft. “We pride ourselves in enabling our customers with high quality big data analytics projects, effecting impactful business outcomes. Denodo’s data virtualization technology and logical data fabric layer is proving to be critical in successful real-time big data analytics projects for many large organizations and we are looking forward to a long lasting and successful partnership with Denodo to help our customers better.”
Denodo elevated its product to help organizations create an enterprise logical data fabric with the recent launch of Denodo Platform version 8. By further expanding its data integration and data management capabilities through machine learning based recommendations, smart query acceleration, and automated infrastructure management for PaaS support, Denodo has established itself as a Leader in both Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools and Forrester Wave for Enterprise Data Fabric.
“Our motto is to stop collecting the data into a central physical repository and, instead focus on connecting to the data wherever they reside,” summarizes Stan. “This is possible by creating a logical data layer to facilitate both data integration and data management functions. This logical data fabric approach enables users to obtain any information from the single access point with high performance and offers the end users the flexibility to choose their preferred application for information consumption. Even better, with data virtualization, data does not need to be moved or replicated, which brings technical advantages and savings of between 50% and 60% in data integration costs.”
Denodo is also available through all major cloud marketplaces such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Many Denodo customers, including some of biggest names in ASEAN region such as Toyota Astra Motor, use Denodo to either integrate their cloud data sources or to migrate to the cloud.
“Our goal has always been to transform the way organizations innovate and operate their businesses by unifying their data assets in real-time,” said Angel Viña, founder and CEO of Denodo. “The remarkable growth we achieved in the APAC region in 2019, demonstrated by new customers who are leveraging Denodo to keep up with the changing data landscape, made it obvious that we had to establish our operations in Greater China to facilitate companies in that region to innovate faster and better. While 2020 was a tough year for all of us across the world, it also means that in 2021, almost every company will look into technologies like data virtualization to seamlessly advance their businesses in a post-COVID world.”
